Please visit this site in March 2025 to apply for the 2025-26 academic year.

The Masonic Order encourages self-improvement through the tenants of brotherly love, relief, and truth; this emphasis on self-improvement, or education, is not confined only to Freemasons, but extends to family and the community as a whole. As part of this charge, St. Paul’s Lodge No.500 has determined it appropriate to establish a college scholarship fund to help the youth of our community attend institutions of higher education.

This one-year scholarship is contingent upon the recipient’s enrollment as a fulltime student (12 semester hours or more) in an accredited institution of higher learning. It may be terminated at the end of a semester where the recipient’s grade average is below a “B” or if the recipient changes institutions without notification. If the student wishes to apply for subsequent years of education, they can do so by completing this application and are graded on the same level as all other applications.

Eligibility will include consideration of:

  • A Resident of central Illinois.

  • Submitted Scholarship Application.

  • Copy of transcripts of grades, from the applicant's high school or institution of higher education. (must have a “B” grade point average or higher)

Please answer all the following questions to the best of your knowledge and write an essay of no more than 350 words. Applications open on March 1st and are due by 11:59pm on May 31st to be considered for the upcoming school year.

Awards will be forwarded to the school and the winner(s) will be notified. We thank you for your interest and we sincerely wish you success in your scholastic efforts in the years to come.
