Making Good Men Better Since 1866

Springfield Illinois Freemasons

St Paul's has been a working masonic lodge in Springfield, the capital city of Illinois, since 1866 and has a rich history in the Community; organized under the jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge A.F. & A.M. of the State of Illinois. Freemasonry is the world’s first and largest fraternal organization, based on the belief that a man who strives to improve himself, can also improve his community and the world at large.

The Freemasons of Illinois have more than 50,000 members & over 500 lodges throughout the state. Through our philanthropy and social activities, members often find lifelong friendships and valuable connections for the future. St. Paul's is located on the west side of Springfield in the Springfield Masonic Center, meeting on the 2nd Thursday of each month. Dinner is served at 6pm with the stated meeting at 7pm. Any man interested may join us for dinner to learn more. The suggested dress is a collared shirt, slacks & dress shoes; a sport coat is also recommended.

At St. Paul’s, we pride ourselves with trying to achieve what those who came before us have. This is reflected in the way we dress, the experience of our candidates as they progress through their degrees, and with the long form ritual that is learned and performed.
